Shames Mountain is a community owned ski resort blessed with huge dumps of powder and spectacular mountain views. It has ski runs for every level of skier, with access to amazing world-class backcountry skiing as well.

Between Terrace and Kitimat, Snow Valley Nordic Ski Club maintains excellent cross-country trails at Onion Lake. They groom for both classic and skate, and have a lighted course for night skiing.

Snowmobiling is awesome in the Terrace area! With a coastal snow pack and beautiful scenery, our deep snow allows a long season of great riding. The local snowmobile club has groomed trails to alpine with lots of areas to explore.
